About us
The idea of initiation International League of the Mixed Martial Art (ILMMA) on the base of Club of Martial Arts «Aikido-sport» was caused by a row of objective reasons, one of which lies in the fact that club’s activities has grown out of its name meaning. And another important reason is that many years of a profound study of aikido allows us to conclude, that this style can be hardly called a kind of martial arts, as the absence of competitions and sparrings absolutely doesn’t harden martial spirit and doesn’t raise strong will qualities when there is a mass of conventions and limitations in this technique. Aikido is rather an art that has a virtual applied meaning. Our club has put a focus on real techniques which can be practiced. Having taken the best and the most effective strokes and techniques from certain sorts (Aikibudo, judo, sambo, Jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing). ILLMA has grouped them into various combinations, and thereby it has created its own version of mixed martial arts. Our Mission is the consolidation of state, social, private and other sport organizations engaged with the martial arts both in Russia and abroad.
The top-priority goal of ILMMA activities is popularization of MIX-FIGHT and bringing children and teenagers in it. Development of their physical and will qualities, psychological stability growth, forming of negative attitude to alcohol and drugs consumption. To make our activities more successful and productive a Coordination Council was formed in accordance with ILMMA charter. It consists of:
